Coral began operations in 1979 in the Erode district of Tamil Nadu, India. Starting as a small workshop servicing fractional kilowatt motors, it has grown into one of India’s top rewinders, meeting global market demands. From fractional kilowatts to over 600 MW, we serve a wide range of customers, offering fast and reliable services with a dedicated team and advanced testing facilities. Our quality meets global standards and is cost-effective and time-efficient, providing the best solutions for manufacturing and rewinding needs.

Coral serves critical power-generating sectors (hydro, turbo, nuclear, wind) and productive sectors (textile, ferrous, non-ferrous industries, chemicals, sugar, paper, petrochemicals, railways, mines and other major industries). Our services include high-voltage generator rewinding, motor repairs, reconditioning, modernisation and upgrades, among others.

People & Infrastructure

Coral Rewinding India Pvt Ltd is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company with a 275-strong workforce. They specialise in repairing and refurbishing AC/DC machines, offering on-site and offsite services with 24×7 emergency support. Additionally, they are an authorised service provider for top motor manufacturers.

Hi-Speed Balancing Machine

The Hi-Speed Balancing Machine provides accurate testing at actual speeds. The largest machine can handle up to 30 tons at 3000 RPM and 70 tonnes at 500 RPM.

VPI Impregnation

Coral has three VPI chambers, with the largest capable of handling 800 MW. They ensure safer cold room storage and high-grade insulation, avoiding derating, higher temperature, decreased efficiency and failures.

Testing

Coral maintains strict in-house quality standards, surpassing International/National ones for achieving zero defects. They store quality check results in a computerised data bank for control and future reference.

Technical Superiority & Quality

Coral maintains a strong quality management system with rigorous control checks at every repair stage. Their “Quality Assurance Plan” ensures adherence to standard procedures, resulting in efficient, stable and durable finished products.

RET (Reverse Engineering Techniques)

RET generates detailed manufacturing drawings from final equipment, especially useful when working without complete specs or retrofitting old/damaged machines. The process accommodates the constraints of older machines while incorporating modern techniques and materials to meet customer requirements.
